What is Arctic Fill™ wadding/batting?

Arctic Fill™ is Brador's own wadding/batting used in the Cotton Quilt range. It is the insulating layer sandwiched between the cotton face fabric and the backing, giving the quilted fabric its loft and warmth. The 3oz version is lighter and more suitable for spring and summer projects; the 6oz provides more warmth for year-round use.

What is the difference between 3oz and 6oz quilted cotton?

The weight refers to the Arctic Fill™ batting density. The 3oz is lighter and drapier — better suited to spring and summer garments, baby items, and lightweight quilts. The 6oz is heavier and warmer, suited to outerwear lining, year-round quilts, and cold-weather accessories.

Can I buy the floral cotton prints without the quilting?

Yes. The unquilted cotton floral prints are available separately in the Cotton Florals collection on the Brador Fabrics website.

What are floral quilted cottons used for?

Floral quilted cottons are used for garments including lightweight jackets, vests, and children's wear; home décor items like placemats, table runners, and cushion covers; and quilting and craft projects.
